We are a registered Non-Profit Company (NPC Registration No. 2025/773701/08) based in Muldersdrift, dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals and families in our community. In today's challenging economic climate, even households with two incomes are often struggling to make ends meet. For those relying on a single income—or surviving on a SASSA grant—the situation is even more difficult. Many of the people who reach out to us use most of their grant money to pay for accommodation, leaving very little for food, toiletries, clothing, and other basic necessities. Families with children face even greater challenges as they try to provide for their loved ones.
We primarily serve communities in and around Krugersdorp and Roodepoort, including Florida, Mindalore, Witpoortjie, Krugersdorp West, Tarlton, and Randfontein. However, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have also been able to assist families as far as Brits, Heidelberg, and Benoni.
Our mission is to bridge the gap where soup kitchens cannot. Sometimes people arrive too late for a meal, live too far away to access one, or find that local soup kitchens are closed over weekends or during school holidays. A child who received a meal at 4:00 pm may still go to bed hungry at 8:00 pm. We strive to ensure that these families are not forgotten. The people we help come from all walks of life. Some are skilled individuals who have been unable to find employment. Others are single mothers caring for children with disabilities, women rebuilding their lives after escaping abusive relationships, families abandoned by a breadwinner, or people whose circumstances prevent them from working. They did not choose these hardships. Sometimes the smallest act of kindness makes the biggest difference. A loaf of bread can bring relief to a hungry family. A second-hand pair of shoes can restore confidence. A warm blanket can make a cold night bearable in a home that offers little protection from the weather. Basic toiletries can help someone regain a sense of dignity.
Because of the generosity of our community, we have been able to provide:
-
Food parcels
-
Clothing and shoes
-
Toiletries
-
Blankets and bedding
-
Beds and furniture
-
Toys for children
-
Stationery for students
-
Curtains and other household essentials
-
Assistance to improve living conditions for families in need
If you have items you no longer use, we would be grateful to collect them and distribute them to those who need them most. Our work is only possible because of people who choose to share what they have. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us make a meaningful difference. At present, our average monthly income is approximately R500. With this, we purchase basic food supplies for families who have nothing to eat. It may not be much, but it provides enough for few nourishing meals when they are needed most. We send a Pick n Pay ASAP or Checkers 60 Sixty parcel of about R130 - R150 with bread, soup, porridge and eggs We have launched our "small Change, BIG Impact" campaign to make it easy for everyone to be part of the solution. By donating just R10 per month, you can help us continue feeding hungry families and providing essential support to people facing incredibly difficult circumstances. A monthly scheduled bank transfer is a simple way to make a lasting difference. R10 may seem like a small amount, but together we can fill the bucket.
Thank you for considering becoming part of our community of hope. Your kindness can help ensure that no family has to face hardship alone.
